  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I don't think this is the end of the war, but it's a step in the right direction, anyway.

article said:
Russian President Vladimir Putin's Easter ceasefire is slated to begin at 6 p.m. local time, news agency RIA Novosti reported. He reportedly ordered the cessation of all military actions for the duration of what he's calling the "Easter truce."

A prisoner exchange also occurred on Saturday, with more than 240 POWs exchanged between both countries, according to the Russian defense ministry.

"On April 19... 246 Russian soldiers were returned from territory controlled by the Kyiv regime. In return 246 Ukrainian prisoners of war were handed over," the ministry said in a statement. "Also as a good will gesture, 31 wounded prisoners of war were handed over in exchange for 15 wounded Russian prisoners of war needing urgent medical help."
