SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, Calif. – The statue of the Holy Family outside of St. Theresa Church was recently vandalized. A rock was used to knock the head off of Mary. This follows two other incidents over the past two months where pro-life displays inside the church hallway were stolen.

I think this war against Catholicism is because it's true. They're not attacked protestants or Mormons or or Jehovahs Witnesses because those are heretical at best and false religions at worst. They don't hold the truth like Catholicism does, and when the wicked are faced with that truth it scorches their souls like pouring lye on the skin. Their reaction is destroy whatever represents that truth in front of them so they don't have to confront it.

But they can't escape it, eventually they'll be thrown into the darkness where they can continue weeping and gnashing their teeth forever.

While I'm not Catholic, I felt the need to respond. Unfortunately the churches of ALL denominations are attacked and vandalized in the U.S. and elsewhere. None are exempt. All suffer at the hands of those who hate the Word. Just a few examples, including two from just the past several months --

I apologize if I've posted here and shouldn't have. As a Baptist, I don't consider myself heretical or a member of a false religion. We who profess faith in Christ and in the Word are all Christians and we're beginning to suffer the same persecutions mentioned in the NT. We all need prayer, and need to pray, as we transit our world and face the hate shown by some people and groups.
