CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

When it comes to reports of what someone is saying, I find it's best to hear it directly from them whenever possible. Whether they're lying or not is irrelevant. The point is to hear it directly from them, rather than going by someone else's version of what they said.

Do you have a clip of him saying that? There's been so many false reports of what he's supposedly said, I like to actually hear it from him.

Trump has only been in office a couple months, get back to me at the end of summer and let's see how many politicians have been charged with criminal fraud in stealing taxpayer monies

Trump dashed Musk's secret Pentagon briefing on China
two pieces of White House palace intrigue emerged Tuesday:
- Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth suspended two top Pentagon officials, Dan Caldwell and Darin Selnick, as part of an investigation into who leaked word of a planned top-secret briefing on China for Elon Musk.
- Axios learned that Musk or Hegseth didn't just decide to call off that briefing after the leak. President Trump himself ordered staffers to kill it.
[Between the lines... Trump learned about the briefing from the failing NYT, put a stop to the briefing, and then called the NYT liars for the story.]

Caldwell was escorted out of the Pentagon after being identified during the investigation and subsequently placed on administrative leave for “an unauthorized disclosure”, a source told Reuters.
