  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Many don't have kids because of the perception of wealth, and I believe it all has to do with wages not keeping up.

Since prayer is a relationship with God as a person, anything in our lives that displeases Him will be a hindrance to prayer.

The psalmist says: "If I had cherished iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not have listened." (Psalms 66:18) Though "the sacrifice of the wicked is an abomination to the Lord" (by contrast, "The prayer of the upright is his delight." (Proverbs 15:8)

While I do believe anyone can pray and ask God without reservation, there's a special place for God's obedient children that's closer.

I didn't have cable television in the 80's, (a time long after the gold standard left our monetary policy) and I didn't pay for a phone either. My dining table was a great big wooden cable spool with a cloth draped over that I made from a sheet and my coffee table was a smaller version and my car was a beater.

Yes, it's hard work parenting. It's tough even with some modern conveniences. Don't you think our great great grandmother's would have just loved washing machines? Dryers? They did it all by hand.

It's usually called being a grown-up to work hard. We don't kill our babies - or shall I say, we shouldn't. We explore reasonable options for how to get by, or explore adoption options.

Something is wrong... If we are barely, if that, replacing ourselves I would like to explore why.

is health a factor, are we that unhealthy, when we should be extremely healthy?

Or is it something else... It is definitely something to explore and do a couple studies on to find out.
I know that this was like six or so pages ago but sometimes I actually have to do something else other than CF.

The reason could be some scary scenario like micro plastic making people sterile, or it could be our stupid hand held devices. You have to put the phone down to have sex. Of course once I typed this all the online porn popped into my head so I guess phones aren't what's doing it.

Sorry.

Sounds like you are blaming God for people's struggles, and what does this have to do with the kids' purchasing power? You don't need to tell me about prayer and have been blessed by it.

This sounds like what Kamala said in the Oprah interview. She was asked how to bring down the cost of living, and she said," Americans have to work harder."

Is this your impression of most kids today that they are last and homelessness is due to drug attiction?

Firstly, when I was younger minimum wage was 3 35 an hour. Now, it's between 10. and 12 dollars an hour.
Adjusted for inflation it’s about the same.
