CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Baloney. Much of the haranguing was racist, but Republicans liked to pretend that any criticism was labeled such, not just the racist stuff. There was a game for a while whenever anything critical was posted to immediately post a meme of a child crying captioned "It's racist!" - this was done when the post was, in fact, racist and when it wasn't. The point was for the anti-Obamaists to simply label every thing racist, mockingly, so that nothing could be considered racist.
No, only the anti-Semitic stuff is.
And we all know that those played no part because racism and misogyny don't exist in America. The DEI label put on a highly accomplished woman was somehow "deserved"?
George Bush was compared to specific chimpanzee photos that did actually resemble the paired photos of Bush. Do you think any of the same care was afforded Obama?

His post was just asking to stay on topic.
My post was in response to someone who asked if disabled people got a pass on being mocked.
It's no more off topic than the other posts in this thread
