Trump invokes "state secrets" to blunt Judge James Boasberg's Deportation information requests

The Executive Branch hereby notifies the Court that no further information will be provided in response to the Court’s March 18, 2025 Minute Order based on the state secrets privilege and the concurrently filed declarations of the Secretary of State and the Secretary of Homeland Security. --HERE​

So let's review. The information requested by a judge regarding Trump et al deportation actions are declared to be "state secrets" and a security threat to our nation if made public.

Yet to this same administration, war plans complete with timing, targets, methods, and heck, even a CIA operative among those war plans, are not considered secret and perfectly fine if made public.

Never mind in the text themselves "high side" is literally mentioned which means "classified".
It's going to be a long four years of this insanity.

The Appeals court just upheld that Trump must wait on some deportations. So we will have lots of drama now for what is likely years to come from an emboldened Trump on a whole range of issues. Yes, this is true.
But he’s the first President to have the courts make decisions and issue orders on the scale that he has.

Having one part of the government duking it out with other parts of the government will be a great stress-test for our Republic, if it doesn’t break it completely.
