  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

And getting rid of all the government employees responsible for investigating his companies for various reasons, but who's counting?
That's one of the ulterior motive dastardly plan conspiracy theories out there.

Has doge yet cut the taxpayer money subsidizing his companies?
Do you mean the companies that benefit the environment and science? There used to be a time, not too long ago, when certain people were in support of the environment and science.

Yes those private for-profit companies being supported by taxpayers who enrich Musk personally.

If the national science foundation, NOAA and the Parks Service can see cuts to federal funding why not Tesla and SpaceX?

But you still didn’t answer my first question.

Oh sorry, my answer is IDK. That applies to the second question as well.

Just about every make of vehicle has had a recall on one of it's models. It's quite commonplace. I had to take my new vehicle back to the dealership in 2016 because of a recall due to a safety belt issue that needed to be fixed. Overall that make has received a 5 star rating from NHTSA, so it's not considered a piece of junk.

Sure, but eight recalls in two years?

I'm not finding any info on that.
Tesla announced the recall of more than 46,000 Cybertrucks in a filing with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. The recall applies to all vehicles built from November 2023 through Feb. 27 of this year ― accounting for nearly every Cybertruck in existence.

Oh okay. It's been several days since I read the OP article. Outside of Huffpost saying "This is the eighth time Elon Musk has had to recall the Cybertruck, which has only been on roads for just over a year." I'm not finding any info on that.

Ah thanks. All I was getting was a flood of stories about the current situation.

Personally I've always seen the Cybertruck as novelty vehicle for a niche market. I didn't think very many would be sold.
