In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Been under investigation for 4 years. 70 people charged with federal crimes. What would "DOGE" do? Stop payment at Treasury?

It's an entirely fair question given an office tasked with making government more efficient should be efficiently run. And this wasn't some 19 year old intern, this was the chief spokesperson for the entire agency.

But as expected, Trump supporters can't see the hypocrisy, can't see the issue with a senior government employee posting to social media on government time, using government resources, and instead yet again offer "the explanation".

Maybe she’s been tasked with defending DOGE cuts but is she a DOGE employee?
Either way she should be reprimanded

A mea culpa for what? A Trump appointed official misusing government resources for personal profit? I thought this whole campaign was about waste? Has she written her 5-points email to justify her job yet?

Your thread is titled "Waste, Fraud and Abuse Exposed in U.S. Government Expenditures".

You further state on your own post at the top of the thread that "....only posts that offer credible evidence to support or refute the subject of Waste, Fraud and Abuse of gov. expenditures and ways to combat it."

I'm talking about a case of (at least) waste and abuse. I have offered evidence of same. Therefore my post fits your thread topic.

And if you can't work out who I'm referring to when I say "she" then I suggest a re-read of my post.

I’d be interested to know what the contracts actually covered.

It may very well be that this platform is doomed to failure and ought to be scrapped, but it also may be that it’s close to ready (which their newsletters suggest) and that it’s actually cheaper to finish than to start over. There’s no guarantee at all this move will save any money.
