  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

got from the DOGE.

This is not my understanding, that I have gotten from the emails from DOGE that
have been quoted by the press.

The president has openly stated that he fully supports Musk.

This argument by Musk, seems to be an 11th hour excuse to throw the blame
for the slash-and-burn, mindless strong-arming of federal workers to resign,
or face being summarily fired without benefits.

As Musk has VISUALLY ADMITTED, the CHAIN SAW STOPS WITH HIM.

Musk is the authorised delegate, but he is not supposed with come up with any policies of his own. His team does generate creative ideas e.g. how to 'test' if an employee is still alive/active/etc. but these are run by his superiors.

People are not used to having Fed government trying clean-up this fast, this hard and with a team of clever people.

Having said that - clever IT people tend to not score well in the emotional IQ department, so clearly lessons are to be learn there as to not behave unhinged in general. E.g. I can fully understand why Rubio is not amused when Musk suggests drastic actions in 'his' USAID domain. That's uncomfortable - and any actual decisions should be under Rubio's command - Musk is increasing the pressure with this business-style methods of cleaning house: fast, drastic, unconventional, and not afraid to disturb the status-quo.

I don't know if he is trying to be funny, or if the is really just that socially unaware, or if he is just very mentally unwell person. That tweet is just sick.
