  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The United States [and Israel] voted with Russia, North Korea, Belarus and 14 other Moscow-friendly countries Monday on a resolution condemning Russian aggression in Ukraine and calling for its occupied territory to be returned that passed overwhelmingly in the U.N. General Assembly on Monday.

The U.S. delegation also abstained on its own separate resolution that called simply for a negotiated end to the war after European-sponsored amendments inserting new anti-Russian language also passed the 193-member body by a wide margin.

I have a very hard time believing that this is the "shared belief of the people who voted him in" that I keep hearing Trump supporters say anytime something regressive and a little bit nuts happens.

Were there still posters in CF that doubted a tie between Trump and Putin? How will they be squaring stuff like this I wonder.

There are two types of President Trump supporters. The first group consists of those who strongly believe in President Trump's actions and decisions, perceiving no fault in him. The second group supports President Trump because they view liberal democrats as the primary opposition to their vision for America, and thus they are willing to overlook or accept any perceived shortcomings of President Trump to counter American liberalism.

I wonder how W. Bush views current American foreign policy. It's no surprise he spends much of his time painting.

And then there are those who thought no one could be as bad as Kamala Harris
