  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

One very important indicator is the well known fact that American families were much deeper into debt and credit debt than during previous years before POTUS #46.
O come on. It is on the same consistent upward trend as the national debt. It was also climbing during Trump 1.0.
It only declined during Obama

The proof is in the election as to what truth America believes. Personal debt and federal government debt cannot be sustained at these ever increasing escalating levels.

I am glad you acknowledge that . Now that we got through COVID lets track them.
It even rose in Trump's first glorious term.

It got even much worse in Biden's term and the Democratic Party, as well as some in the GOP, don't care at all to do anything significant about it.

DOGE is the best thing since sliced bread, it has American approval at 72%
There is no way that sliced bread has an approval rating as high as 72%.

You guys have super-high standards.
Everyone should.

I'm going to "quote" a tweet I saw not long after Musk took control of Twitter. It was from a software engineer not part of that company who hadn't paid much attention to Musk. It went something like this:

When they said he was an electric car genius I accepted their claims because I am not a car guy.
When they said he was a rocket innovator, I accepted their claims because I am not a rocket guy.
When they said he was a software genius, I couldn't take them seriously anymore because I am a software guy and what he said was nonsense.

I had a somewhat similar experience. The electric cars seem like a good thing, but I didn't pay attention. I didn't care for his rockets only because I didn't like the whole thing with NASA depending on private launch companies, but I did find their achievements impressive. (Unfortunately for Mr. Musk, those two companies rise on the the talents and ideas of others. His input is minimal.)

What did it for me was "Hyperloop" which was so obviously a stupid and pointless and less efficient way to do things we already know how to do (build fast trains) and still people bought into the hype. It made me question his other successes.

Those who are diametrically opposed to the Trump administration are never going to concede that that admin has done anything right. No matter what it is, a negative spin must be put on it.
What’s a “right thing” that this administration has done?
(Please be more specific than “the border!”, thanks)

I am a numbers guy. Show me objective metrics and I will give credit. Not numbers Trump gives us but real numbers.

I'm not a numerologist.
Then perhaps consider that your opinion based on feelings is a personal judgment or belief that is primarily influenced by emotions and subjective experiences rather than objective facts or evidence.

For some reason some people have become robotically dependent upon whatever numbers they're fed, which is not normal. And the irony is they're exceedingly emotional at the same time being easily swayed by obvious hyperbole and sensationalism. Apparently it's okay to be highly emotional going on about the world coming to an end, as long as the numbers on some website confirms it.

Pretty simple, having access to government computers and phones and running pre-made scripted programs on government employees, (Fred) spent 5hrs a day playing computer games on taxpayer time, (Mary) spent 5hrs a day on Facebook, Twitter, talking with friends and family, (Joe) spent 6hrs a day running a personal business taking orders and handling shipments of his products

Looking at USAID with your eyes reading ($40 Million For Male Circumcision In Africa)

Social Security is paying taxpayer money to supposed recipients 150 yrs old

It's nice to see a 72% voter approval rating on DOGE, some people have common sense and care about America's future
I work in government IT and my job is the care and feeding of all end user devices. what your are proposing is neither simple nor realistic in any meaningful fashion. Do you have any idea the amount of computing power that would be required to perform this task? That does not even begin to touch on the complexity of the script coupled with the amount of data that would need to be collected and analyzed.

I think it's more like Elon is finding money fraud within the US government, then he's following the money trail to expose who the recipients are

Example: $30 Million in A Shell company "America's Great" with board members (Nancy Pelosi) & (Gavin Newsom), with personal payments being made to them as board members and payments given to the "Open Society" owned by (George Soros) in paybacks for campaign contributions to the Democratic National Convention
Interested in your example, I did a search of "30 million America's Great" pelosi Gavin Newsom Open Society" in both Google and Yahoo. And the only thing that comes up remotely close is your claim here at CF.

Where are you getting this from? And it's kind of hard to understand what the claim even is. Who is making payments to "America Great" and "Open Society"?

Canada America's 51st State, Go Trump!
What kind of person supports the idea of using economic bullying to annex a free sovereign nation whose citizens want nothing to do with joining the United States?

Answer: a fundamentally bad person.

This will never happen short of military action. While the United States would easily overpower Canada, no small amount of American blood would be shed. And if I were young enough, I would be on the front line defending our free country.

You should be ashamed of yourself.
