  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I’ve posted about this before, but let’s give this another shot.

My wife has had a history of difficulty maintaining employment due to her documented learning disability. I’ve had the unfortunate experience of watching her work her guts out, attempting to learn a job only to be let go due to the actual disability more times than I care to recount.

Now we are on the job hunt yet again. This is becoming a vicious cycle where she gains a job, only to lose it to people becoming impatient. Aside from the financial strain, the mental and emotional burden is unbearable. I have tried fasting and prayer with no luck. I have begged and pleaded with God for a basic need to be met, only to be denied. Any prayers for this would be greatly appreciated.

Couldn’t she apply for disability? A doctor could confirm her diagnosis. Why keep
Putting her through the same process? :praying:

Praying now!

Lord God I lift up Silly Wabbit's wife to You right now and I pray for a miracle in her current situation and for supernatural provision of a good job! I pray for wisdom for her during the job hunt and that You would lead her to a good job, her dream job with a high salary! I pray for favor during job interviews and for the right words to say. I pray that she would be able to obtain and also keep a job, I also pray for a miracle healing of her learning disability. I take authority over the learning disability and I command it to go right now in the name of Jesus! Learning disability go now in the name of Jesus! I pray that You would supernaturally re-create the area of her brain effected by the learning disability! Thank You God!

We have tried for that before, but we might not have understood something or simply been denied. We will attempt to do so again when someone can explain the process and procedures better. In the meantime however, we do need more than my 40 hours paycheck. I have to wait until next quarter to apply for overtime at my work, yet it is sporadic and not usually the amount of a full time job. We have avenues we are looking at, but right now we need a permanent source of revenue.

Unfortunately the first person we can talk to on these manners can’t speak to us any sooner than the 19th, so things are moving slowly at best.

It usually takes 2 or 3 tries. Also getting the diagnosis from the doctor helps.

We have a schedule A letter and a letter from Vocational rehabilitation in her former state shortly after she graduated high school. We are hoping for some guidance on how to proceed forward on the 19th.

Praying she finds a job and an answer to all her prayers!

His grace and peace to you! :prayer:
Brief update: God answered prayer(we think). My wife accepted a job for a school cafeteria position. Not glamorous, but we are nonetheless very thankful. We still have to make through the 90 day probation period which is where issues normally arise. But we are feeling optimistic at the moment. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. Hopefully we make it thru the probation period with flying colors.

Final update: False alarm. Due to insufficient information being given on where to get her work credentials, my wife tried contact her new employer but was unable to. When she reached out to her new boss, she was met with silence. This was just a cheap shot to get our hopes up. Guess this is just his way.

Lord have mercy! I’m sorry to hear that! May God help her find a job ASAP.
