  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Noem Directs Polygraph Use to Target Homeland Security Leaks

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem warned employees that polygraph tests will be used to help crack down on leaks that agency officials say have foiled immigration enforcement plans.

Noem last week issued an internal directive that all polygraphs the Department of Homeland Security administers must include a question about unauthorized communications with media and nonprofit organizations, according to a memo described to Bloomberg Government by two people without authorization to speak publicly.

Critics of polygraphs have questioned the reliability of the tests, which, for example, are often considered inadmissible in court proceedings.
Back in my day we simply restricted information to a few "need to know" people with instruction that they will be held accountable for any information leaked. It then narrows down your pool of suspects as to who leaked the information.

It probably wouldn't violate any laws. They can't force you to take a polygraph, but they could fire you if you refused. Hooray for "at will" employment.
Glad I don't live in USA. I have a perception that employees get a rotten deal over there.
I worked for a USA based company in NZ once, they treated me like furniture.
