CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I think she may be a bit burned that she got removed from the White House, and no longer has access to Air Force One and all of that.
I wonder if Joe is sliding fast. He went from being 'sharp as a tack' about six months ago to not being able to go with his wife to a football game. Is there going to be another presidential funeral soon?

I'm not convinced a person can have that much money and still have character.
The moment we are talking about billions, with a B, we are talking about an absurd amount of money. I don't think most of us really grasp just how absurd that is.
When I was in high school I had a math teacher who said on the first day that anyone who was able to write to a billion by the end of the year would pass the class even if they failed everything else. At the end of the first week he explained that if you were to write to a billion, writing non-stop, without sleep or breaks, it would still take you about 30 years. The point of the "exercise" was to teach just how crazy much a billion is.
Specifically : a billion seconds is 31.7 years.
If you stacked 1 billion dollars on top of one another, it would be over 67 miles high, it would reach the earth's troposphere.
For $1 billion you could buy a trillion gallons of clean drinking water.
For $1 billion you could feed tens of millions of people for a whole year.
I know people like to quibble "Well, if there is such a thing as too rich, how much is too rich?"
Having billions of dollars is too rich. And that shouldn't be controversial to say. Nobody should have that much money. It's immoral.
