In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Not really absent the planners disclosing their plans. We will observe what happens but only after it has happened. Even then, we would be guessing that the plan went as planned.
Speculation. Not wrong, but still speculation.

Read my post again. If one thinks there is fraud and abuse there are mechanisms in place to redress that. Again, the CR is up next month. Just indiscriminately laying people off without any consideration of how it may effect the agency is the worse thing to do.

I don't profess to be a long-distance mind reader.
But I was for decades a military intelligence analyst. I do pay attention to what people have done in the past to make an educated guess at what they might do in the future.
People who are successful in making several million will seldom say, "Welp, that's enough, I guess I'll stop now." People who have made a few billion will seldom say, "Welp, that's enough, I guess I'll stop now." Even when they've made so much money that if they stopped working, their money would continue to make more money...they seldom stop working. Why isn't Warren Buffet out on a beach on his own private island? It's probably a particular type of mindset.
