  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I walk alone, not by choice but because I don't belong to this world any more. I'm a kingdom seeker and I follow Jesus. It was he alone who helped me.

If people have political and religious division then it's they who forsake the assembly. My fellowship with the Lord doesn't teach me that.

Er... ya might wanna read Paul's epistles to the churches. He most certainly addressed divisions and grieved over them - and provided the cure via exhortations to love above all - but he did not encourage the congregants to abandon them and go lone wolf. Expose false teachers and respectfully rebuke sinning brothers - yes - shut the joint down - no.

Going solo is a recipe for a walk riddled with self-sanctimonious stone casting that produces little fruit for God's Kingdom. I know, brother!

Jesus sifts out the tares from the wheat - trust Him to do His job. He's THE Professional. Check out His messages to the 7 churches in Revelation if you have any doubt.

I dont throw stones. I have no divisive religion or politics. Thats where the stones get thrown. I just follow the Lord and his good word.

Friendships take work, bro. Don't give up on yourself or others. When David said he believed "all men are liars" and closed off he didn't stay there - God wouldn't allow him to isolate indefinitely - and boy did he ever have reason to when surrounded by enemies!

Why would I want religious divisions and political complaints, fears and strife? That's this website. That's not fellowship. If people are like that here then their fellowship at church is false. It's just a show. I'm tired of this place. You have a good day.

How about the "I am of Apollos" vs. the "I am of Paul" divisions? Would you have withdrawn from both, or champion Paul's solution that all are of Christ - and worked from within to unify the two?
