Faith Versus Fear

So, fearing God is one thing,
It’s a thing we ought to do.
It shows respect and honor,
Which to Him is surely due.

But fear of man we do not,
For our Lord takes care of us.
Fear says to God, our Savior,
That in Him we do not trust.

If we believe in Jesus,
We should rest in Him secure.
The trials that come to us,
By our faith we must endure.

For Satan likes to whisper
Fearful thoughts now in our ears.
If we entertain his thinking,
It might bring us now to tears.

We can easily be worried
Over things not to exist
When we listen to those whispers,
And with faith we not persist.

Even if he speaks what’s coming,
Fear should have no part of us
If our faith is in our Savior,
And in Him we put our trust.

We not have control of future.
All is always in God’s hands.
But the nature of what’s coming,
In His Word he does expand.

So believe God’s Word, His teachings.
Trust now in His sovereignty.
Let Him now control the future,
And now peaceful we will be.
