  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I love to talk about the Lord. I have some battles but I have peace love and joy as well. If I was a giffted poet i would write beautiful things about the Lord. I would talk about his mercy and love. I would talk about how real he is to me. If only I could dive onto a river of his love. If only I didn't need to fight against an affliction.

I dont understand why but I fight because I have no choice. Perhaps God has walled me in so to speak. I'm forced to walk by faith and not sight. I fight through the fear of anxiety attacks and voices in my mind. As for sin that's easy to battle against I think. It's this affliction that's so hard.

Then knowing.

Paul had his "thorn in the flesh" stuff > 2 Corinthians 12:7-15.

And Jesus said >

"My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." (in 2 Corinthians 12:9)

And then Paul in God's grace took "pleasure" (2 Corinthians 12:10) in his troubles. In God's grace we can share with Jesus, taking pleasure in Jesus who is so perfectly pleasing to our Father.

And in God's unconditional and all-loving love we share with Him in His own goodness and pleasant rest so we take pleasure in loving as family while also caring for any and all evil people.

In my case I seem to be growing in the knowledge that Paul shared. When people hurt me I run to Jesus and he loves me. That sounds childish I guess but it's what I do.

Jesus is the One who knows what to do with us. But yes God includes us and circumstances in blessing and helping us. So, test everything for the good God desires for us and for others >

"Test all things; hold fast what is good." (1 Thessalonians 5:21)
