  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

According to the report, staffers at Monday's meeting mulled issuing a public statement "or even resigning," something correspondents Scott Pelley and Anderson Cooper pushed back on. Cooper reportedly warned the rebellious staffers that there were few to no alternatives in the current weakening media landscape where they could produce such work.
I hope this is a wake-up call for the rest of the media. Without providence their stories may have fooled more people and we might have a different president.

$10 billion? He won the election so there are no "damages" to claim
This is an act of a dictator trying to intimidate and take over the media and the free press.
I hope it's thrown out.
How to stop this? I guess Harris or the DNC will have to sue all the conservative media. Biden will have to sue all those who said he had Dementia (exhaustive medical records he released show that's a lie.)
Our democracy is under assault. This is not a left-right issue. If there is no free press left you will see what he really cares about. He won't need to court anyone--evangelicals, for example. The bloodless coup will be complete.

Since then Trump has decided to bring in the parent company, Paramount. CBS has to turn over the raw footage to the FCC. A major network being caught trying to manipulate a presidential election is a major offense. Trump has raised it to 20 billion.

News media have been editing interviews since time immemorial. It is admirable? No, but neither is there anything unique about this occurrence. When you go through media training, you are taught to say whatever the key point is you want said no matter what they ask you for this very purpose so they can't edit out your key point. Poor practice, yes? Worth 10 billion? Hardly.
