I agree, but the comeback story here and the levels of passion for and against the man in the USA and all around the world affirm this even more.

It is a remarkable story. The failed assassination attempt seems like a crucial moment in mobilizing key backers to support him. Reading the transcript of the interview here I was struck by a simple fact: he connected with ordinary people in a way that the Democrats did not. The last time the failures to manage the COVID epidemic overwhelmed him, his whole campaign was focused on the economy in 2020. But this time in 2024 the economy and the border were again the key issues and covid was history.

The man has the energy and control of a true leader. He is thinking outside of the box on the Israel issue and has the faith to cut across rules and regulations that are not working. So far he is acting like America is in charge on the international stage but he has already put some backs up. Putin and Xi seem to be colluding against him and peace in Ukraine is now contingent on how he responds to their machinations. Also, the question remains, despite his connection to them, will he benefit ordinary Americans? That remains to be seen.
