  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Can I ask you another question? :)

Mormons profess to be Christians. So, what do Mormons think about 'non-Mormon' Christians? Like, what do they believe is the eternal destiny of Protestant Christians ... like the Southern Baptists, Evangelical Christians, etc? Where do Mormons believe 'non-Mormon' Christians are going after they die?
Short answer: Non-Mormons are blinded by the craftiness of men. All churches are wrong except theirs.

Questions are welcome.

In Mormonism, Jesus and Jehovah are the same person. Elohim is the name of the "heavenly father."
This is part of the secret temple endowment ceremony:

ELOHIM: Jehovah, Michael, is man found upon the earth?

JEHOVAH : Man is not found on the earth, Elohim.

ELOHIM: Jehovah, Michael, the[n] let us go down and form man in our own likeness and in our own image, male and female, and put into them their spirits, and let us give them dominion over all things on the face of the earth. We will plant for them a garden, eastward in Eden, and place them in it to tend and cultivate it, that they may be happy, and have joy therein. We will command them to multiply and replenish the earth, that they may have joy in their prosperity. We will place before them the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, and we will allow Lucifer, our common enemy, whom we have thrust out to tempt them, and to try them, that they may know by their own experience the good from the evil. If they yield to temptation we will give unto them The Law of Sacrifice, and we will provide a savior for them, as we counseled in the beginning, that they may be brought forth by the power of the redemption and the resurrection, and come again into our presence, and with us partake of Eternal Life and exultation. We will call this the sixth day, and we will rest from our labors for a season. Come, let us go down.

JEHOVAH: We will go down, Elohim.
I see an error. "Exultation"should be exaltation which equals godhood and Eternal life.

In case you did not understand my previous answer:

WHO WILL INHERIT TERRESTRIAL GLORY? (D&C 76:71–80)
Those who
a. Reject the gospel(aka Mormonism) in this life but receive it in the spirit world (D&C 76:71–74).
b. Are honorable but are blinded by the craftiness of men (D&C 76:75).
c. Are not valiant in the testimony of Jesus (D&C 76:79).

Non-Mormons have to accept Mormonism in the spirit world or they will go to the lowest kingdom of glory and never see Mormon jesus or his Mormon father (Elohim).

That's interesting.
I'm guessing that 'in the spirit world' means 'after death'?

The spirit world is where all spirits go at death. The non-Mormons are taught Mormonism and given a chance to accept it if they didn't have an opportunity on earth. The worthy Mormons go to Paradise a place of rest until the Judgment and resurrection to the CK. Worthy Mormons have celestial marriages and their children were sealed to them for eternity. Part of the spirit world is a temporary hell where people suffer for their sins.

"Our spirit bodies existed before we were born and will continue to live after we die. After death, we go to the spirit world to await our resurrection. "

After judgment and resurrection people go to different kingdoms of glory. "heavenly father"and "jesus"are in the Church of the Firstborn in thr highest level of the celestial kingdom; exalted Mormon couples are there. Their children were sealed to them or were "born in the covenant." I never learned and can't find the info if these children become exalted gods at judgment.

D&C 76
109 But behold, and lo, we saw the glory and the inhabitants of the telestial world, that they were as innumerable as the stars in the firmament of heaven, or as the sand upon the seashore;

110 And heard the voice of the Lord saying: These all shall bow the knee, and every tongue shall confess to him who sits upon the throne forever and ever;

111 For they shall be judged according to their works, and every man shall receive according to his own works, his own dominion, in the mansions which are prepared;

112 And they shall be servants of the Most High; but where God and Christ dwell they cannot come, worlds without end.

I think you're getting an idea of how complex and extra-biblical Mormonism is.

I sure am!
(And none of it sounds much like the true Gospel of Jesus Christ.)
