The OP is wanting us to cheer for a one flag policy. Its the thread title. And hes pretty sure about "one nation, one flag!"Um, OK.
If you can't tell the difference between a flag that honors our missing and captured military personnel that fought for our country and "pride", I'm not sure what to tell you.
It just seems odd when the policy is entitled "One Flag Policy"Yes, how dare we honor POWs and MIAs that fought for our country.
Um, OK.

I simply believe US Embassy abroad only needs one flag to represent our country.
It was that way in the 1980's when I served abroad and I see no reason to add flags....for any cause.
Genuine question: were you equally as opposed when the Biden Administration granted "blanket authorization" to fly the pride flag?
Posts are given "blanket written authorization ... to display the Pride flag on the external-facing flagpole, for the duration of the 2021 Pride season," said the cable, which was first reported by Foreign Policy magazine. "This is an authorization, not a requirement."![]()
Biden admin. grants 'blanket authorization' to fly Pride flag at embassies
The policy, detailed in a cable obtained by ABC News, repeals a ban by Secretary of State Blinken's predecessor Mike Pompeo on Pride flags from flying at U.S. embassies.abcnews.go.com
Also, while I would agree with you that flying flags for any "cause" is unnecessary, I'm not sure that I would agree that the POW/MIA flag, which has flown in and over government buildings since 1982, is a flag for a "cause".
When an exception is made, then others will follow....
Nope. And to be clear, I don't oppose the flying of the POW/MIA flag either. I'm just highlighting the logical inconsistency in the argument.Genuine question: were you equally as opposed when the Biden Administration granted "blanket authorization" to fly the pride flag?
How long a flag has been flown has no bearing on whether or not its purpose is to advance a cause. And the POW/MIA flag absolutely is about advancing a cause - the return of US POWs and MIA soldiers or their remains. It's a cause that just about everyone in the country can get behind, so it's not exactly controversial, but it's a cause nonetheless. Also, while I would agree with you that flying flags for any "cause" is unnecessary, I'm not sure that I would agree that the POW/MIA flag, which has flown in and over government buildings since 1982, is a flag for a "cause".
Sit back - take a deep breath -believe it or not - you and I agree 100%I simply believe US Embassy abroad only needs one flag to represent our country.

Fifty states = fifty-one flags. Three thousand seven counties = three thousand fifty-eight flags. I don't know though, maybe there are counties with county office buildings that don't have a county flag.Sit back - take a deep breath -believe it or not - you and I agree 100%
One Nation - one flag - the cause celeb flags, even for good causes should not be mandated nor allowed on foreign soil.
The focus is flags flown outside foreign embassy's - as far as I know there are no US foreign embassy's in any state.Fifty states = fifty-one flags. Yes, you're right. I was just thinking of any government building. I have no objection to this new trinity flag policy. The focus is flags flown outside foreign embassy's - as far as I know there are no US foreign embassy's in any state.
