CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I don't have to be realistic, Trump does. He isn't going to bring prices down but his policies might start run away inflation again. Biden had very little to do with the inflation that took place under his 4 years but Trump's plans are almost assured of high inflation.

That is what Trump was told. Listen if you want to play tit for tat, I got some great lines from Biden and Harris!!! And who controlled them and installed them at the time...ROME. I mean they could not even put people to death, Rome had to do it for them. The Sanhedrin was under Roman oversight for administrative functions like law enforcement and taxation. Their power was very limited by Rome.

The townspeople didn't say it was happening. One woman put it on FB as a joke and then took it.down. The false claim was investigated and no evidence was found. The mayor told everyone it was false but Trump didn't care and continued to repeat the lie.

You can tell all you want. I believe that they said dumb things but Trump wins the dumb remarks hands down.
Rome appointed a governor over Israel and he tried to free Jesus but the Jewish people, invited by the Jewish priests, called for Jesus to be killed and proclaimed that his death was on them.
Because of Israel's support for Egypt, Rome stripped them of control over execution.That had to be handled by the Romans.

no he didn't...he said it at the debate. Well Biden mumbles and no one can even understand him half the time and Harris just spews word salad. Pilate did what Pilate wanted to do. He washed his hands of it because of his wife's dream. He believed his wife was a seer or psychic. Again, those were appointed by Rome. They are the ones who inflamed the people against Him. Less than 5 days before His death, the people were yelling to Him to save them and throwing palm branches. What changed?

Actually, the U.S. Catholic Bishops have deemed abortion the preeminent issue in tackling. That means when we vote as Catholics, that should be the key thing guiding our voting decision. Which candidate will promote the most good for the unborn/do the least harm?
