CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Does he at least have some understanding that we will act out under these stresses? That some people might have genuine difficulty feeling bad for an all powerful being who allows suffering experiencing it himself? Especially when he's God.. he can allow any emotional reactions he feels in himself however he sees fit.
That might just effect the perception of another.

Idol worship is extremely popular and accepted worldwide today, except in those abiding in Jesus living as Jesus Instructed. (He does not ask for anyone's opinion as if to give them a choice - He disciples them, tells them/us/ what to do and even what to think; then He lets us decide whether to stay with Him or to leave Him. Almost everyone leaves Him.

The problem is... you're preaching the wrong dang gospel. You've merely taken the old testament laws and re-wrapped them in the cloak of Christianity. But the true Gospel isn't about the law. It's about embodying the sentiments of Micah 6:8 and Mark 12:31 which found their greatest fulfillment in a prayer in Gethsemane, and on a cross on Golgotha.
“My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as you will.”
A million laws may not move a person's soul, but their heart will.

What Christians need to remember is that it's not Micah 6:8 or Mark 12:31 that people reject... people WANT to love and be loved. They want to embrace Christ's prayer in Gethsemane. What they reject is all the dogma that religion insists upon piling onto it.

Jesus tells multitudes on Judgment Day (to late to be saved) : Be gone from Me, I never knew you. Everything you did you did for show (for love of men, for approval of your peers).
