CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Grumbling started when inflation became unbearable. Gas prices hit harder here because we're second highest gas tax... after Ca.That's wonderful to hear!

I work 40 hours a week.
I have a house mate here, my sons friend whom I knew since he was 12 seeks a lot of spiritual and religious growth.
He is now a former gay trans wiccan Democrat. I brag what the Lord can do.
He's seeking to be Catholic. He's learning scriptures and prayers.
After work as a nurse asst I am exhausted.

What a busy schedule you presently have ... working a job and ministering to your young housemate! I can well understand why you would be feeling exhausted.
It seems you are reaching this young man for God, and that is such very good news for him! You know the faith, and the Lord, well ... so you are a good one to tell him about these things. And maybe with winter coming ... (we had our first snow in Ohio today) ... he will even help you with shoveling the snow!
(Always an easier job I think for a man, than for a woman, though I've done it plenty, too!)God bless you, and may He continue to give you the grace and strength needed for the assignments He has given you.

He has overcome so much.
His parents abuse. His mothers ancestry witchcraft, people who did it on him, it's a laundry list.
But he says the folks he was staying with treating him like a slave were into witchcraft and the woman seems to be going back to Catholic atm and wants to know more.
He doesn't need his meds for bipolar and has been off them since February.
He literally saw evil and has started doing the Rosary and he doesn't want evil.
He is so far improved by the grace of God.
Prayers for my loved ones and his are always a bonus.

The young man is building quite a testimony to what God can do in a life!
