CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

The Democratic voters and the Democratic Party don't recognize them as such, bit if thinking of them in this way makes you appreciate real Democrats, I'm glad.

There's a long and distinguished list of liberals who became conservatives. Off the top of my head, Ronald Reagan, Thomas Sowell, Charles Krauthammer, David Horowitz, etc. I consider myself smarter than all those guys because I was a conservative by the time I was 20.

I could forgive a teenager in 2024 saying that due to cultural ignorance, but a grown man who claims to be a musician saying that...I know Jesus said to forgive, but this is unforgivable. They are all both Demcratic voters and members of the Democratic Party. Ths is proof that demonstrates how far left the "party" moved and how may people the DNC have abandoned. I hope that after Trump's reelection, this would have been obvious.
