An end time text that refers to our current state of affairs, and its only going to get worse.
Years ago The Lord showed me a man behind the pulpit. He was expounding on the word, but there was one thing I noticed.
He would cite a verse and immediately give a contradictory interpretation.
Our problem here is not a lack of scripture, our problem is what ministers are doing with the bible.
If you have multiple versions of the bible that are not using Strong's dictionary, you have an issue of non-transparency because you can't see the original text in its original language and its original interpretation.
It amounts to watering-down the scriptures and interpretations.
People are then not really receiving the word, the process has become tainted and compromised.
If we are not giving people total truth, we are lying, our preaching, teaching and outreach become less effective and the Spirit is no longer backing our efforts.
But all is not lost, Adventism has an appeal for those seeking total truth and a solid biblical foundation for every doctrine.
Compared to other churches, our message reflects a back-to-basic approach that has God's backing.
I see that the potential is there, we just have to take measures that will result in total truth being shared.
We need to revisit our early days and follow the examples given so that we don't repeat the same mistakes of the past.
We have to admit that we don't always have the right answers and we need God's help in addressing the present and future challenges we will face.
Most importantly, we need to humble ourselves recognizing our need for God's guidance, his inspiration and faith to obey and be sustained by God.
