From the son of TWO legal immigrant, calling an illegal alien a migrant means nothing to me. I hope that person can get their feat under them and make success up here in Canada. Unless they have a violent criminal past...then toodles darling.

And my parents wouldn't wish anything worse than that either (maybe not the toodles darling part though...)

Based comes from the slang basehead, a term from the 1980s to describe people addicted to freebasing cocaine, a method which makes the drug smokable. The term basehead became synonymous with the crack epidemic that swept the United States at the time. Do you have any details that you can share on how, when and where all this is going to occur? Who is going to be rounded up. By whom. What will it cost. Where they are going to be held. What family members will be included. What happens to the jobs that they will have been doing. Where they will be sent. How they will be sent. Who is going to agree to accept them. How they are going to be cared for when they get there.

Simple questions. So if the solution is simple then can someone give us some simple answers?

As to who under the law can be reported, here is a helpful summary:

The Trump administration has said that they are going to first focus on the worst of the criminals and on terrorists. I think few people realize how dire the situation is. The federal government has prosecuted only a tiny percentage of MS-13 and Tren de Aragua gang members, and when one gets imprisoned they just send even more replacements across our southern border. A number of Democratic governors have already openly stated their refusal to cooperate. The first order of business will be to remove those in the FBI and law enforcement overall who have allowed our border and immigration laws to be broken and who have let these gangs flourish. And the new administration needs to quickly re-establish border security. It's not going to be easy going after these criminals, you probably have heard a number of Democratic governors say the law enforcement in their states will not co-operate. Without cooperation more law enforcement personnel and civilians will die, and so they need a plan to get co-operation. I would bet they tackle other areas first. So too they have to rescue the hundreds of thousands of trafficked women and children.

As to the rest, I expect that incentives will be given to those who leave voluntarily. Perhaps make it clear that anyone here illegally who does not leave voluntarily will be banned from entering our country for the next twenty or thirty years. Those who leave will be free to legally apply for visas or residency.
As to where they go, Trump will, as he did before, get the countries to take them back by refusing to provide aid to those countries unless they do.

Last I looked Canada has about 41,000,000 people. By some estimates the Biden/Harris open border policies has allowed 12 to 18 million illegal aliens in. That is almost half your population.

How many would your country accept today? Oh, that’s right, you don’t allow entry without due process.

Immigrating to Canada can take a while, anywhere from six months to a yearunder the Express Entry program, say experts, and sometimes longer.

It is times like this I wish we had policies like Canada.

So those who came illegally in the first place will not be allowed to re-enter legally in the second.
