The Power of the Cross is in the evangelistic message to the lost, and the beginning of our faith
Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.
1 Peter 1:8-10 Whom have not seen, ye love; in whom, though now ye see him not, yet believing, ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory: Receiving the end of your faith, even the salvation of your souls. Of which salvation the prophets have inquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that should come unto you:
The Power of the Resurrection enables the victorious life of the Saints
Philippians 3:10 That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death, If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.
Romans 8:11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.
The Cross and the Resurrection work hand in hand, every day, over and over.
1 Corinthians 4:11-14 For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. So then death is working in us, but life in you. And since we have the same spirit of faith, according to what is written, “I believed and therefore I spoke,” we also believe and therefore speak, knowing that He who raised up the Lord Jesus will also raise us up with Jesus, and will present us with you.
1 Corinthians 15:31 I affirm by the boasting in you which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.
This is why our fellowship always begins with this Remembrance:
1 Corinthians 11:26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he comes.
Breaking bread together is an act of obedience that manifests the Life of Christ in us under the Anointing of the Holy Spirit upon us.
The Power of the Ascension to the Right Hand of the Father establishes the new priesthood in the order of Melchizedek, and enables the Saints to minister unto the Lord and receive His intercessions.
Psalm 110:1 The Lord said to my Lord,
“Sit at My right hand, until I make Your enemies Your footstool.
4 The Lord has sworn and will not relent,
“You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.”
Hebrews 7:
11 Therefore, if perfection were through the Levitical priesthood (for under it the people received the law), what further need was there that another priest should rise according to the order of Melchizedek, and not be called according to the order of Aaron?
12 For the priesthood being changed, of necessity there is also a change of the law.
17 For He testifies:
“You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.”
24 But He, because He continues forever, has an unchangeable priesthood.
25 Therefore He is also able to save to the uttermost those who come to God through Him, since He always lives to make intercession for them.
The next privileged act of obedience is to draw near to His Presence
Hebrews 4:14-16 Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
