1 Thessalonians 1:
9 For they themselves declare concerning us what manner of entry we had to you,
and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God,
10 and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead,
even Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.
The Lord has taught us in this manner:
John 10:9 I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.
This shows that the Kingdom is attained by our entering in, not simply stating words without power.
1 Corinthians 4:20 For the kingdom of God is not in word but in power.
Our entering into the everlasting kingdom is found in Christ, the One True House of God.
Hebrews 3:4-6 For every house is built by someone, but He who built all things is God. And Moses indeed was faithful in all His house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which would be spoken, but Christ as a Son over His own house, whose house we are if we hold fast the confidence and the rejoicing of the hope firm to the end.
Ah, that dreaded ‘if’ word! Now try doing this without exercising your free will.
Hebrews 10:19-23 Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, and a High Priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.
Our entering into the everlasting kingdom requires our diligence.
2 Peter 1:10,11 Therefore, brethren, be even more diligent to make your call and election sure, for if you do these things you will never stumble; for so an entrance will be supplied to you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
The Saints are immediately called into fellowship:
1 Corinthians 1:9 God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
It is in this fellowship that the leaders and elders guide the newly birthed saint into the operation of the Spiritual Gifts,
and the knowledge of their election by which they will show themselves faithful, or not.
