Hello
@Morghaine, I like
@Hoping2's idea
If you're looking for something more specific, perhaps the Sermon on the Mount (
Matthew 5-7) would be a good place to start? There are several excellent commentaries that have been written about that part of Matthew alone, just FYI, so picking up one of those (or finding one online) could enhance your study of The Beatitudes/Sermon on the Mount.
You could also pick up a chronological harmony of the Gospels that puts all of His life and teachings from the four Gospel accounts together in chronological order (and you could get even more specific by choosing a certain part of His life to focus on, like His birth or His Passion Week, for instance).
Finally, it would also be interesting to take a look at everything that is written ~about~ the Lord Jesus in the OT, and then to see how the OT prophesies about Him played out/were fulfilled in the NT/Gospels.
God bless you!!

Isaiah 53
5 He was pierced through for our transgressions,
He was crushed for our iniquities;
The chastening for our well-being fell upon Him,
And by His scourging we are healed.
6 All of us like sheep have gone astray,
Each of us has turned to his own way;
But the LORD has caused the iniquity of us all
To fall on Him.
1 Peter 2
24 He Himself bore our sins in His body on the cross, so that we might die to sin and live to righteousness; for by His wounds you were healed.
25 For you were continually straying like sheep, but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Guardian of your souls.
