CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

I think this is amazing. The right not only wins the presidential election, with likely the first republican candidate winning the popular vote since George Bush the Senior, but also the senate and probably the house, and they STILL manage to be sore losers.

It is amusing this sudden awareness of States Rights which never had nothing to do with the Civil War, right?

The 10th Amendment Center used to log both all of the Red and Blue states who were advocating for States rights, years ago. I looked for their list about a year or so ago; but I couldn't find it at that time.
Many Blue states love to advocate for States rights when it comes to legalizing dope.

Yes, and the tax codes have made State's Right a non-issue.
Money collected by the Fed's is apportioned...
And so Hochul who was vowing to "fight fight fight" Trump conceded that the Chip Industry needs Federal Funds.
Now Hochul and Trump are "cordial" friends.
That is how "trans" is pushed in the schools. Don't teach correct pronoun use and lose Federal Funding.
This is a States Rights Issue the Democrats could reconsider to give them relevance.
The Republican Party is now the Old Moderate Democrat and Republican coalition, middle and working class.
The State Governments, as a balance of power, are basically irrelevent. That needs to change.
The Democrats could reorganize around that issue and get away from all the far left issues.
But Democrats are too into government funds and government unions.
It is the Democrats who have pushed Federal power for many a long year.

Ok, did some research.
Arizona passed a voter ID law
The 9th Circuit said States could make voting rules for States but not Federal
Therefore, Arizona has two ballots, one state and federal for ones with proof of citizenship and one ballot federal only for no proof of citizenship
Now that means voting rules for Federal Elections can be set by the federal government
