  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

How is that related to my post?
Students feeling threatened that the National Guard will be called up during peaceful campus protests are of
course traumatized. Even their parents, realizing how irrationally vindictive the commander in chief has himself said he would be makes them fearful.
They see Florida universities, led by DeSantis, being remodeled after Bob Jones U, banning books, courses, professors, even evolution, fundamentalist enough to lose certification.
Parents don't want brainwashed teens. Teens dont want to be brainwashed. They don't want the military invading their campus in some strong arm dictatorial ego-driven order.

If they didn't want to be brainwashed, they shouldn't have attended public schools, let alone continue on to an "elite" university.
Trust me, students (who are now adults) don't need time off to grieve a lost election unless they've been brainwashed to believe the propaganda Harris and her friends were putting out there.

I have attended both private and public colleges, as did one of my three children.
The private colleges (religious) were much more rigid.
My own personal take is that many people who worry about public school brainwashing are people who are brainwashed by conservative preachers themselves.

Thanks for the clear answer.

I'm sure no advisor will tell him it's okay to shoot protesters and no National Guard troops would carry out any such orders.
It didn't happen during the George Floyd riots and it's not going to happen in the near future.
This is just hysteria
It is also why Trump won in a landslide.

No - the Bible was not upside down - Misinformation just doesn't hold water when there are photo's.

Nixon also ended the Democratic Presidents war.

On January 23, 1973, President Richard Nixon announced that America's war in Vietnam was over. A peace treaty had been signed in Paris that day, he said, which would bring “Peace with Honor” and ensure South Vietnam's independence from North Vietnam and the United States' military withdrawal from that troubled land.

Your objection still has not made the connection between an event where four people died in MAY - protesting a war started by a Democratic President and ended by a Republican President and an election where the majority spoke.
How much property damage did those peaceful protestors cause?

Clearly it's not the brainwashed that are going to be worrying about being brainwashed.

Attempted brainwashing can and is resisted, all the time.
Education is not a place for politicians to push censorship and pseudo science.
Glad you feel that way.
Let's hope Trump's pick for his Education department feels the same, and puts forth the necessary changes.

Such silliness, when I was young and delusional in 1984, I worked the phones for the doomed Mondale/Ferraro ticket & others at a local demo hq. Despite feeling frustrated, I was able to get up & go back to classes the next day. In retrospect, I am so glad Ronald Reagan won his reelection but was an ignoramus at the time. I never liked the Bush father & son duo though.
Reagan was excellent, Bush terrible, his son not good.

Of course Kamala did not have a Project 2025 platform. Fighting for civil and human rights is an honorable thing to do. Promising to compromise or end them is contemptible, and hateful.

Voting to deny people civil and human rights is also contemptible and hateful.
Neither Kamala nor Trump had a Project 2025 platform.

Ben Carson, with his academic background, would be a great choice.

The author of Project 2025 is already on his assembled staff. I have figured out how to translate his garrulous garbles. Whatever he claims, assume the opposite is true. Works as good as duolingo.

It's from a very much Trump supporting group, so odds are it has proposals Trump would support and probably some he would not.

Except he's going to be a facist dictator now and the Supreme Court has ruled he's immune to any actions. He could go down himself and start killing college kids and he'll be fine. I mean he did say he could shoot someone in tge street and we'd all support him for it.

I do expect he'll start rounding up trans people and put them in concentration camps with Rachel Madow.

But he’s giving amnesty to Rosie O’Donnell and she won’t be in a camp because he no longer considers her a threat
