I agree. Presidential immunity should never have been a thing and should be ended immediately.

He owes NY a ton of money for massive fraud before he ever became president.
Being immune doesn't erase the crimes and fraud committed. It just means three justices are paying him back for services rendered, having learned from Thomas that they, too, can be unethical without retaliation.

Criminal guilt is not a matter for popularity contests nor "acceptability".

Clearly enough people either felt his "crimes" were not a thing Basically that charges should not have been brought or that those crimes will have no impact on him running the country. There are plenty of people with criminal records who go on to work and be productive members of soceity.

Good luck using that to put a sitting president (or even president-elect) in jail. The judge in NY realized sentencing him during an election cycle wasn't smart. Putting him in jail right after being elected would be downright stupid--which leads us back to Letticia James......

And LJ is in elected office and is clearly abusing it to go after the president through lawfare. A wise man recently said that if she continues what she's doing, a specific oversized part of her would be going to prison.
I sure hope the rest of her would go there as well.

Yes, valid principles like "Whether someone is elected to office should have NOTHING to do with that person's treatment under the law" will get tossed under the bus of political reality.

Shes talking about gearing up to fend off acts of vengeance by a Trump DOJ, not going after Trump himself for this or that.

I think that we are about to see the smoke cleared and the corruption of the DOJ and certain legal powers exposed. The "Trumped up" charges had the one purpose of keeping DJT off the ballot or from being elected.
Now that this was a failure and he has been elected, by the voice of the people of America, in a powerful and historical win.. you can be certain that certain people in certain offices of power, to be exiting their position by no uncertain terms, and probably indicted themselves.
The circus is over and the clowns are going to be unmasked.
