Convenience abortion is any abortion that is done for any reason other than emergency life saving or trauma. 99% of all abortions today are convenience abortions. They include these reasons:
"I have the right to do what I want with my own body"
"I can't afford it"
"It's unwanted"
"It's cramping my style"
"My boyfriend doesn't want a child; he'll leave if I don't get an abortion"
"I'm being pressured to get one (by relatives or peers)"
"Everyone will laugh at me"
"I was counseled to get it done"
"It's just tissue"
etc., ad infinitum of excuses

It will take a constitutional amendment. But I encourage the new administration to take it up. Perhaps it will be time consuming and burdensome enough to detract from all the evil they want to accomplish.

Say life begins at conception. See if you can get 38 states to ratify it. I think you need like 2/3 ofCongress, too.
And I will give you some sage advice. You show us that human life is sacred by honoring The Living. When child hunger, healthcare, education are shortchanged; when families earn substandard wages and can't support their children; and then you say preborn life is sacred it reeks of hypocrisy.
You have to show human life is sacred with the living.
Now that should keep the new administration busy catching up.for decades of neglect.

Quick note it is not life but being a person that matters, biologically life never begins, it is passed from living entity to living entity. Dead cells cannot create new life, only living ones. A living sperm meets a living ovum and creates a living embryo, at no stage can any of these cells be dead, or the life is not carried on.

Over the "decades of neglect", billions.. probably hundreds of billions of dollars have been spent funding programs that are tasked in the USA with helping the groups of people and children mentioned in your post.

When you look at real data, it becomes obvious that your leftist education is wrong. In 1959, there were 5 states with more than 60% of the population below poverty level. In 2010, there were only 2 states with the worst poverty level in the US that was 21-24% of the population in that range. Things are getting better for people, not as you depict here. It is in an environment of prosperity and affluence that abortion has increased by leaps and bounds. And it is free market economy that brings prosperity to the nation, not socialism. This is attested by historical facts.

Further, no amendment is needed. All it would take is for the S.C. to take a case where they have to vote on the science of when a person becomes a human being who should be protected by law, and to declare that a fetus in the womb is such a person. It's time for the judges of the nation to stop letting trick lawyers circumvent the constitution by their claiming that a "fetus" is not a legal citizen, and therefore not protected. I believe the framers of the constitution would be appalled at the apathy in the nation for pre-born children.
