  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Black men call out Kamala Harris' 'disingenuous' messaging as reason she is struggling in the polls

I feel like her message is disingenuous," Bryan, a Westland, Michigan native told Fox News Digital. He added that she appeared to be "trying to pander to Black people." "She has a lot of issues underneath her administration. Just be honest about it. Black men aren't a monolith. We vote based on policies, too. We don't [vote] based on identity. And when she starts to realize that and not trying to play our identity up so much, she might do better," he said.

This person is, of course, entitled to whatever opinion he wants...but does anyone else find it ironic that he claims that "Black men aren't a monolith" then immediately says "We vote based on policies, too. We don't [vote] based on identity" as if every black man agrees with him on this?

-- A2SG, granted, far be it from me to know what any black man votes for, or why.....

What does Count Chocula have to do with anything?
I am a very random person and I make very random exclamation. In retrospect I could see that perhaps it may be referring to something nefarious or rude. It was not meant that way.

I could have said Fruity Pebbles Land...it's just that right now the sweet cereal in our house is Count Chocula so that was teh first cereal that came to mind.

I guess I Could have said Cheerio Land too....but it didn't seem as funny as Count Chocula to me....

Okay. I just thought I'd ask. But I recommend that when you are talking about Black men, try not to bring up Count Chocula. It looks bad.

Honestly the thought didn't even cross my mind until you mentioned something.

Humble apologies. And I'll avoid it.

According to the latest ABC News/Ipsos poll released yesterday, VP Harris has better numbers than President Biden had in 2020 among Black voters, including Black men.

As it turned out, 81 percent of black men voted for Harris, 16% voted for Trump, according to exit polls.

Inasmuch as black men comprise only 5% of the national voter population, and for sure nobody expected most of us to vote Republican, we were never a significant issue. The DNC just wanted to keep us in line.

I can't say that's too surprising.
