  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

I think this is simple and truth. Also, it is easier for me (and others) to understand if the Bible references/verses/ are printed out instead of just referred to.
Good idea.

`Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven saying, "The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our LORD and His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!" (Rev. 11: 15)

`Then comes the end (a setting out for a goal) when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to ll rule and authority and power. For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet.` (1 Cor. 15: 24 & 25)

Hi eclipsenow,

I can see we are both not going to change our view. We have had a good discussion, so I will leave it here.

Till next time, Marilyn.
That's what people say when they suddenly hit data that just does not fit with their worldview.
It's cognitive dissonance and selection bias at work.

You never answered my question about what is a Kingdom without authority? (Answer: NOT a kingdom any more - but the people and infrastructure can remain - just government by the newer empire that runs this stuff).

You never got back to me on why John merged all 3 previous empires in Daniel's vision into the fourth beast? Don't they "live on" there?

Compare Daniel 7 with Revelation 13

Daniel 7

2 Daniel said: “In my vision at night I looked, and there before me were the four winds of heaven churning up the great sea. 3 Four great beasts, each different from the others, came up out of the sea.

4 “The first was like a lion, and it had the wings of an eagle. I watched until its wings were torn off and it was lifted from the ground so that it stood on two feet like a human being, and the mind of a human was given to it.

5 “And there before me was a second beast, which looked like a bear. It was raised up on one of its sides, and it had three ribs in its mouth between its teeth. It was told, ‘Get up and eat your fill of flesh!’

6 “After that, I looked, and there before me was another beast, one that looked like a leopard. And on its back it had four wings like those of a bird. This beast had four heads, and it was given authority to rule.

7 “After that, in my vision at night I looked, and there before me was a fourth beast—terrifying and frightening and very powerful. It had large iron teeth; it crushed and devoured its victims and trampled underfoot whatever was left. It was different from all the former beasts, and it had ten horns.

Revelation 13
And I saw a beast coming out of the sea. It had ten horns and seven heads, with ten crowns on its horns, and on each head a blasphemous name. The beast I saw resembled a leopard, but had feet like those of a bear and a mouth like that of a lion. The dragon gave the beast his power and his throne and great authority.

Then the people of God have never sought to run the Roman empire, and will instead see it judged/ destroyed.
Wow - you really believe that?

Go to a library, or Amazon, or Audible - and get the following books.
First - my friend Dr John Dickson wrote this - a truly awesome book!

Second - this one - although it's a bit longer and more in depth - it will ground you in church history.

Scripture is God's Word. It is Truth.

Science is man's efforts, of the world, not from heaven, not Godly .
Um, I was talking about history? The history of the church and how after Constantine became emperor and had his 'vision' he 'Christianized' the Roman empire. From then on it took over 1000 years for Christians to realise that we're not really meant to run government. You're not aware of this? These are just facts. They're not disputable. Never read any history hey?

Let alone science - which is a completely and utterly different subject. (I also think Christians have a duty to respect science as a source of truth almost as much as they respect the bible! But that's a different and more philosophical topic. Right now you seem to be struggling with history.)
