  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

What's driving many voters from Harris and Democrats

Most of us heard the fable of the scorpion and the frog. As paraphrased on Wikipedia, it goes like this: “A scorpion wants to cross a river but cannot swim, so it asks a frog to carry it across. The frog hesitates, afraid that the scorpion might sting it, but the scorpion promises not to, pointing out that it would drown if it killed the frog in the middle of the river. The frog considers this argument sensible and agrees to transport the scorpion. Midway across the river, the scorpion stings the frog anyway, dooming them both. The dying frog asks the scorpion why it stung despite knowing the consequence, to which the scorpion replies: ‘I am sorry, but I couldn't help myself. It's my character.’”

In the same way, if Donald Trump is reelected, especially with a major electoral margin, and all the more if the GOP takes control of both houses, a major reason will be that the Democrats are similar to the scorpion. They continue to hold more and more radical positions, positions that are becoming increasingly out of touch with mainstream Americans. And yet rather than act on political pragmatism and modify their extreme positions, they hold to them anyway, even to their own detriment.

Both your article and the comment that follow are based on bizarre propaganda and misrepresentation of what Democrats believe.

And the polling obviously is skewed towards those who believe the misrepresentation.

Musk money, Russian bots, and, most sadly, single issue Christian media articles like this are perpetuating dangerous lies.

That is true. I heard Vance saying that no matter who the Republicans put forward over the years they by nature will make out that the Republicans are facist and want to take away peoples freedoms. Its like a basic philosophical position they have. Trump just represents a more extreme and out there version of the Republicans that it brings out the extremes in the Left.

But if it was another Rep candidate like Vance or anyone they would still push the facist label because its in their DNA. I think over the recent years the radical fringe of the Left has come more to the centre due to ideology. That had been coming for a while and now that its been around for a while and the effects are there for people to see more and more people are realizing its unreality.

It is like a religion in that you will defend the ideology regardless of facts and truth and no matter what evidence is shown that its unreal people still believe it. They cannot see the harm it does in reality. Only its ideological truth that must be ushered in no matter what.

Thats why Harris and others don't like doing unscripted interviews and keep reverting back to attacking the character of people just like in religion. Its all about the superficial, the words, the outside look such as skin color, the performance and not the content.

But that charade only lasts so long and its beginning to wear thin now and people are seeing through it. That is the beauty of the truth. You can fool some of the people some of the time but you can't fool all of the people all of the time. Reality has a way of biting people if they deny it.

Harris has 1 Billion Dollars in donations.
Act Blue is being investigated for laundering campaign contributions from foreign goverments. (Russian, Chinese, Iranian)
Single Issue = Abortion = Democrats

Harris hammers three issues
Abortion
Magic government money wand to cure all ills
Trump (bad evil, gonna get you and get you good)

The Republicans have 3 issues
Economy
Immigration
Energy

Harris will most likely win on her issues, mainly abortion, just as Biden did
However Bidens economy, immigration and energy policies will be Harris's policies.

But hey, government funded abortion anytime, anywhere. The government will silence any dissenters, just as the government tried to silence Catholics as "domestic terrorist" and force all health care providers to provide abortion on demand.

But economists universally say Trump tariffs will ruin the economy.
And drilling will destroy the planet.
And Trump has just told women he will "protect" them from independence and self-determination.
All three "solutions' are wrong

All three "solutions' are wrong
1) Economist, successful ones, are making fortunes off money management (manipulating other people's money) and are closely aligned with Big Business. Economist are awash in a sea of government money and Big Business hates tariff. Consider the bias of "who says."

Biden's policies have already ruined the economy. Insanity is doing the same thing over and expecting a different result.

2) Mining the materials for solar panels, wind generators is going to do some major damage to the planet. And if we shut off all the oil tomorrow, the world would starve, freeze and walk. China is selling solar to America and using the cash to build coal fire plants.

3) The biggest lies told are "Trump said." In this case, Trump said he was going to close the border and protect women (from foriegn bad actors)
Please report the "Trump said" in context. Also I haven't seen Trump denying his wife independence and self determination.

Inflation is 2%. Fed says it was conquered without recession.Low unemployment. Soaring stock market.

And fake conservative media says economy is bad and gas goes up a nickel and his supporters say "only he--he of 6 bankruptcies who sells digital cards for $99 to pay his legal bills!--"can save us."
ROFL.

The economy has been bad for a very long time.
Gas is up more than a nickel. And the current administration energy policies will make it worse.
The economy is energy. Right now it is government money and consumers that are keeping the boat afloat.
This has not been tested, Modern Money Theory, so who knows? Maybe the government can control the economy with the printing press and government jobs rather than production.

The msm is reporting among early voters women are outvoting men so that favors Harris, right?
However, half of all early voters are Republican.
Do the math.

"Republican" women may vote for Harris. Women are intuitive. They recognize leering, controlling dishonest flim-flam men when they see them.

They also recognize people who claim they will "fix" things that they createed when they have no plans of changing. They also reoogize when people are put in power without a single vote from the people just because a party was running out of time and needed someone because the person they had was CLEARLY unfit and pretty much forced out of office.

10% more women have voted than men. 50% of all voters are Republican
That means that Harris does not have a woman advantage.

Women get the grocery bill. Women are extremely concerned about the family budget. There is nothing "intuitive" about a 25% increase in prices in the last four years. It is not all about sex.

Women support Harris, and even before the former President stacked the Supreme Court with his loyalists women still voted more than men and supported Democrats more than men. Interestingly, women who are polled support Harris by a much higher ratio than men support Trump.

Heather Cox Richardson, notable historian, wrote this today in her Substack column:

On the Fox News Channel’s The Five this morning, host Jesse Watters said that if he found out his wife “was going into the voting booth and pulling the lever for Harris, that’s the same thing as having an affair…. That violates the sanctity of our marriage.” Christian pastor Dale Partridge posted: “In a Christian marriage, a wife should vote according to her husband’s direction. He is the head and they are one. Unity extends to politics. This is not controversial.” But, he added, “submission does have limits. A wife doesn’t need to submit to her husband in sin (in this case voting democrat).”

These are more ominous prophecies of conservatives' desires to make the "male head of the household" vote for a family.

If Fox News host thinks his wife voting for Harris is akin to her having an affair, he deserves to be cheated on. It's none of his business, and if he is so controlling he expects her to vote for whoever he chooses, he is emotionally abusive.

Dale Partridge's view of what "Christian marriage" is is enough to make most newlyweds shun his altar for the justice of the peace.

I have always voted based on my own beliefs, which are very similar to my husband's and my children's.

One of my children was thinking of voting third party for President because of US cooperation in Palestinian genocide. We live in a red, red state, so it wouldn't matter. He eventually decided to vote for Harris because she chose Tim Walz, who was able to accomplish so much in Minnesota and who, as VP, would work closely with the Senate. He hopes Walz' abundant authenticity and common-sense might help bi-partisanship.

Appealing to an ancient story, is not a substantive argument.

Your assertion that it is Democrats who hold more and more radical positions,
needs to be demonstrated.

It is the Tucker Carlson conspiracy theories that are radical, and are not
based on sound evidence. Alex Jones, and his abuse of the victims of the
Sandy Hook school massacre, is an example. He continually ignored the historical
facts of the shooting, and promoted some "Deep State" myth that the entire
shooting was staged by the "Deep State".

It is not radical, to ask for sound evidence.
And that, is how our fair rule of law in America works.
