  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

As an athlete who has competed at the highest levels, and as an elected official who has heard from countless concerned mothers, fathers and students of all backgrounds, we understand the importance of fairness in sports — and the urgency of addressing it now.
This should not be a red issue or a blue issue. Protecting the physical safety of women and girls, and ensuring they have access to the best opportunities to get ahead in life, should be something that unites all of us.

I agree this should not be a red or blue issue. But the leaders on the left are pushing this hard. What is the problem with having sports just for transgenders?

Leave sport out of politics, please.
A political movement put transgenders in women's sports and in girl's restrooms and locker rooms in public schools.

Stands up an applauds.

Just because a sexual deviancy, which up until a few years ago was treated and a disorder has now become 'cause celeb' is not reason to disparage and disrespect woman athletes who have trained to excel in their fields by forcing them to compete against biological male athletes.

It's also curious that the party who touts the mantra "follow the science", chooses to ignore basic biology.
