  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Despite these constraints, the Penn Wharton numbers offer a telling view of what the candidates would prioritize. Harris would cut taxes for lower earners, but raise them for the wealthy. Trump would cut taxes across the board—but offer bigger breaks for higher earners.

It’s important to note how the candidates’ plans would affect the swelling national debt; in the long term, Trump’s plans would add $4.1 trillion to the national debt, about twice as much as Harris’, according to Penn Wharton.

Can't say I've seen much about stuff like this but the three third party analysis I've seen all say the same thing.....

But hey, Trump's got the economic vibes and that's what matters, right?

Interesting. Of course, no matter who wins, they'll have to have their plans approved by congress.

I also often wonder the specifics of projections like this. For example, I suspect much of the tax savings for lower income people on the Harris side would come from an increased child tax credit, something that only benefits you if you have children.

Looking at the graphic, if it's accurate, at my earning level I'll probably see the same increase no matter who is elected. Although I will be genuinely shocked if I see ANY increase regardless of the outcome.

The one word that aged me 20 years was "vibes". It triggers me. I Immediately feel curmeogeonly when anyone uses that word

It's the negative impact of the proposed tariffs and deportations.
