  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

This past weekend was the annual Rednecks with Paychecks event in St Jo, TX (pop: 881), where folks from all around show up for a weekend of drinking, mud bogging, bikini contests, and all around debauchery.

Adding to this event's long history of serious (often fatal) accidents, this year, a man used his monster truck to assault several other people:

MONTAGUE COUNTY (KFDX/KJTL) — A man faces five felony charges after officials with the Montague County Sheriff’s Office said he ran over multiple vehicles with a “monster truck” at Rednecks with Paychecks in Saint Jo, causing two victims to be hospitalized.

Yeah but one person went bonkers since the Redenecks with Paychecks annual event started in 2011. I repeat, one (presumably white) person, went bonkers. Please do not attempt to gloss over and downplay the fact that one (presumably white) person went nuts at a large monster truck event. And also that rednecks invaded a Texas town. Talk about a huge culture clash. Whoever heard of rednecks in a small Texas town? What's next, hillbillies invading the Ozarks?
