  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

WASHINGTON (AP) — A man with an AK-style rifle pointed the firearm’s muzzle into Donald Trump’s golf club in West Palm Beach, Florida, as the former president was playing a round, prompting the U.S. Secret Service to open fire, according to three law enforcement officials. The former president is safe and unharmed, and the FBI says it is investigating “what appears to be an attempted assassination” of the Republican presidential candidate.

I've seen some of the news coverage on this story.
It is alarming, to see the level of hatred in some persons' hearts towards Trump.

Overall, It is frightening to see this ongoing high level of hatred existing within our society.
Where will the hatred go, once they are done with Trump?
Very scary thought ...

... But the Lord is Our Shield and Protector.

We're going the way of the Roman Empire, when if the opposition didn't like the emperor, they just assassinated him and replaced him with somebody else. It was the way they had turnover in chief executives for a while, during their societal decay.
