In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Planned parenthood has never been about healthcare or women's health.

That is like "gender-affirming care." It has nothing to do with affirming the actual biological, physiological, and genetic gender... it has to do with denying and changing it. This is all just more 1984 newspeak from the left.

I have noticed a common theme with all these Rights based activists. It seems to be centred around the deconstruction of people, families, relationships and society. But you could also take the 'con' part out of deconstruction becuase its also destruction of relationships, people, families and society.

Pro abortion activists have to make out the fetus is just lumps of tissue because any thought of this being life would confront them with the harsh reality that they are actually disrespecting and devaluing life. But thats all part of it. There is not spiritual dimension, its all just material matter that has no meaning.

Theres an element of big brother in wanting to re order and control society. Its not just the issue of abortion but comes with a far reaching ideology about how humans and society should be ordered. A vert detached and cold view of people and the world. I guess if you devalue human life then this affects a persons outlook where everything is devalued.

I agree. I worked in health care for 40+ years. Years ago, a patient of one of my partners had a wellness exam at a local PP clinic. A breast lump was found. PP doesn't do mammograms, so they referred her back to our practice. Turns out she had malignant breast tumor. Fortunately, it was early enough that it could be removed without her needing a mastectomy. PP saved a life and a breast.

I wasn't aware of their other services until I went with a friend. She was 18 at the time and got a checkup. They had a sliding fee that was affordable.

I don't bash people about abortion. There's not a person on this earth who hasn't done something they're not ashamed of or hiding from others. When you start weighing sins you look foolish.
