Saletan highlights Trump's pattern of praising our enemies (China, Russia, N Korea) while trashing our own country. He makes the point quite effectively using video clips from recent Trump interviews and rally speeches. Trump even suggested that if he were to lose, Trump supporters would have to travel to Venezuela to speak freely.....

It's just propaganda. It's like drawing a picture of a man with a big nose and wringing his hands with a pile of money as if to demonstrate that the Jews are evil. It's like any caricature of any politician, just more sophisticated. People will say anything to demonize their political opponents.

His repeated comments suggest he does not love American democracy. Listen to his voice of admiration when he speaks of the leaders from China, N. Korea and Russia.

It's a pretty dumb question, IMO.
Why else would anyone subject himself to the continual flood of crap he has endured over the past nine years? He has lost millions, been betrayed, and even shot. Is he doing this for fun?
One of the proofs we use for the gospel is the lives and deaths of the disciples who died rather than deny it. Why would they endure persecution and even death if they knew the resurrection was a lie? They would not.
