In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Feigning ignorance about a significant 12 weeks in recent American history was a particularly subtle way to argue, Trump said many things over many days on days even after he was told by staff and his family, AND that he knew and conceded that to them, (that he knew he lost).

Boiling it down to one single statement cheapens history.

I've never heard of the “will be wild” tweet until you mentioned it. The lion's share of accusing Trump of mounting a coupe has been based on what he said shortly before the Jan 6th escapade started.

However that's moot to the question I asked, so please stop deflecting.

Trump has had just as much time as before to say/tweet whatever (which I don't keep diligent track of believe it or not). And then there's the three weeks after the election he'll have to say, tweet, organize whatever.

So once again, how is a Nov 26 sentencing going to keep him from "mounting a second attempt"?
