  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

A megachurch pastor in Texas has ignited controversy by claiming that Americans who vote for Democrats are not Christians.

Landon Schott, the senior lead pastor of Mercy Culture Church, a multi-campus congregation in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, made the remarks earlier this week in a video posted on Instagram. The video focused on his concerns about the Democratic Party's stance on abortion rights.

"I'm not a big Trump guy. I'm not a Republican … but there is only one party that is standing up at their convention saying that 'we're going to overturn Roe v. Wade.' Listen to me very clearly. I know people don't like this because most people aren't pastored, most people aren't confronted spiritually, and most pastors just care if people show up and give. And if they show up and give, then they don't care," Schott said in the video.

Whew, that is a little harsh. There are plenty of pro-life Democrats who are Christian. It does not sit well with me that Democrats who are Christian support pro-choice and woke stuff though. These people may still be saved, but they are misleading others into following a dark doctrine. Heck, Biden's wife supported the demonic Olympics opening ceremony.

Joe Biden's wife supported blasphemy of Last Supper:

While a 3rd party candidate stated that the ceremony was worthy of rebuke. I agree with him

Leviticus 24:17
Whoever takes a human life shall surely be put to death
doesnt say it should take 20 to 30 years on death row.. but it gives them a chance to be forgiven and to come to the Lord. And if they are really sorry for their sins they will be forgiven like the thief was On the cross
I am sure that psychopaths and people with mass killing on their minds would love to become executioners, cos who else would get that job. Plus hey, we do not live in Leviticus times anymore. So many people nowadays are Cafeteria Christians, only siding with stuff that agrees with their viewpoint, and cherry picking Bible verses.

Executioners have bad mental health:

Warning from 2 Timothy about Cherry Picking:

Why Execution is Anti-Christian in the New Testament Era:

Not all Democrats are abortionists, but it does seem like the Democratic party has become darker over the past few decades, and especially over the past decade.
Abortion as a right is part of their party's platform. To support Democrats is to support their platform.
Republicans also have death penalties as well, so that is also death. In other words, both parties kill.
This is a false equivocation of insane proportions. There were 24 inmates executed in the US last year. In that same year, and keep in mind this is after Roe v. Wade was overturned, more than 1,000,000 babies were killed in abortions. Even if you think capital punishment is immoral, the scale of that issue is less than a rounding error in talking about the abortion issue. The two aren't remotely comparable.

That is true, Democrats kill thousands of times more people than Republicans. I just wish we had a party that kills 0 people, and none of the two parties can say that they kill no people. Democrats have gone off the rails, same with parts of the Republican party. This stuff is a sign of the End Times, and the rise of Satan. In the end, Jesus won the battle.

You all know I am big on "sins of omission." As a very involved Christian what I see most Republicans doing are:
Neglecting the very visible, heartbreaking, tragic needs of the living and focusing on the pre-born.
Or perhaps championing the pre-born to justify neglecting the living.
The sins of omission cry out to us. They break our hearts, especially when our friends and family are affected.
So when a preacher tells us we need to close our eyes to the tragedies he dismisses, he us creating more nones.
Hypocrisy creates nones.

Luckily, I try to focus on helping both the living and the pre-born, as a moderate centrist. :) In a few weeks, if everything goes well with scheduling, I will volunteer at a daytime homeless shelter monthly or so.
