  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

"Abide with me"
Oh if only this song and the message in the lyrics were the prayer of each and every Christian all over the world.
Ain't that the truth! Thanks again for the interest and thoughts!

I totally loved and really got into the Country music flavor in @Martin Barret cover of "I'd Rather Have Jesus"
Wanna hear how it was originally sung? Good ol' George Beverly Shea is heard doing it here:

The song, "Only Thing I Need" is very cool. Nice upbeat melody, strong lyrics and the vocals reminded me of 90s Newsboys songs. Well done, y'all.
:):oldthumbsup::oldthumbsup::):)
Gee, the 90's seems 'old' to talk about now? But guitar solos are just the thing that we forgot to care about, I figure. All the worship music today doesn't seem to explore musicianship and to us, that goes against Psalm 33:3 to some degree maybe? You let us know your thoughts on that!

Woo, Kutless, MercyMe, Newsboys and Seventh Day Slumber are on my list. Skillet was a little too heavy for me, but that band was popular in the second half of the 2000s. I need to check out Brandon Lake's older stuff, cos I might have heard his stuff in the 2010s, though I can not recall.

This is my written list of Christian favorites below so far, and it has gotten really large, that I will have to start a second list. The songs are organized by year. Sadly, there are no songs from 2016-2022 on it, cos the pre-2015 stuff back to the mid-2000s is my childhood.

Hey! I'm really enjoying the album. I wish you the best and may you continue sharing your talent with the world. Blessings .
Not sure I thanked you before, but I am now! Thanks so much. We'll keep on keeping on in Christ until that Day we're called home. Sound cliche to some, but it's real to us! Later!

Thank you. Proof of Your Love is a little harder to sing, so it is alright that you did not sing that one. :) Also, I added you to my favorite Christian music list. You are the first one from 2024 that is "worthy" of the list (well, only Jesus is worthy), but you get my point. Your music is so high-quality, it is now in my favorite Christian songs of all time. If your song(s) from your newest album were released in 2004 instead of 2024, they would still be in my childhood memories decades later, just as Casting Crowns, Third Day, Jeremy Camp, Meredith Andrews and Matt Redman are. The best music comes out of Canada, the UK and the US, it seems.

Hey there! Nancy here! Thanks so much DreamyLaLa! If it was for just ONE person that the songs were written, then praise God. That's all the matters - that because of the song lyrics, you are reminded of God's presence through the stress of just dealing with life. Anxiety is a 'given' in the present climate, so those verses in God's Word that deal with trusting are crucial!
Martin is the recording guy, but I contribute to writing (I wrote all the lyrics to 'On That Day' and 'Waiting To Be Found') and singing on his tracks. I also serve as 'advisor' to his many recording ideas.
The album was all done in our home.
Thanks again for your great interest and comments! God bless you 'through the storm'!
n :)
You're welcome, it's so nice to meet you, too, Nancy! You are a talented songwriter. Thanks for sharing your music process! I found it interesting! I also thank you for your thoughts on trusting God in the storm. I always need to be reminded of that.
I really like that you made the album at home. I'm really into home business/family business/small business! God bless you, and I wish you success on your new album!
:)
