  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

“The question is … is the risk of a Harris-Walz presidency worth us staying in? And that’s the question we have to ask ourselves right now,” she said.

It's hard for lifelong Democrats to support a Republican, but such a radical ticket as Kamala/Walz is not representative of most Democrats.

NBC is now reporting that the 'Democrat plant' will drop out and endorse Trump, based on two sources familiar...

RFK Jr. is planning to drop out of the 2024 presidential race and endorse Trump

The sources cautioned that talks are ongoing, but there will be clarity by the end of the week. One of the sources said the campaigns are working toward a joint appearance.

Kennedy’s campaign announced he will hold the event in Phoenix on Friday. Trump, meanwhile, is also set to host an event on Friday night, in Glendale, a Phoenix suburb.

Kennedy's presence on the 2024 campaign trail has been minimal in recent weeks. He has not hosted a public, campaign-sponsored event since early July, and Shanahan hasn't been seen on the trail in months.

The campaign closed July with almost $3.5 million in debt, according to the most recent campaign finance report.

RFK's credibility is very low between the brain worm and the bear carcass in Central Park.
If he endorses Trump, his numerous brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins will probably take out a commercial to disown him. (They have already done so, but are likely to step it up.)
While it saddens me to see him dishonor his father's memory, I am glad the rest of the Kennedys remain true to their forbears' ideals.

RFK Jr. to address nation on Friday as rumors swirl of his withdrawal

Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will address the nation on Friday to discuss his path forward.

"Independent Presidential Candidate [Kennedy] will address the nation live on Friday about the present historical moment and his path forward," campaign press secretary Stefanie Spear announced in an X post. The address is slated for 2 p.m. ET and will take place in Phoenix, Ariz.

Kennedy's speech comes amid mounting speculation that he will drop out of the presidential race and endorse former President Donald Trump. Earlier this week, his running mate, Nicole Shanahan, confirmed the campaign was mulling such an option.

"There’s two options that we're looking at and one is staying in, forming that new party, but we run the risk of a Kamala Harris and Waltz presidency because we draw more votes from Trump," she said. "Or we walk away right now and join forces with with Donald Trump and explain to our base why we're making this decision.”

MoveOn launches mobile billboard outside RFK Jr. event highlighting his past attacks on Trump

The billboard, which is circulating the area around the hotel where Kennedy’s announcement event will take place on Friday, features a series of slides with quotes from Kennedy about Trump in which he called the Republican nominee “barely human,” “a terrible human being,” and a “sociopath.”
That's stupid...they ALL (Dems included) say the same things against their opponents during debates and campaigns...oy vey...they should just "Move On" lol

The Harris/Walz ticket is not the Democratic party of his or his family. He has supporters and if he endorses Trump, they will follow. I hope he does.
His running-mate, Shanahan, married and divorced the Google CEO and acquired massive wealth. She set up a foundation to support reproductive science and the environment.

RFK, Jr. has traditionally been a strong supporter of the environment.

Who isn't a supporter of the environment? Who wants to "drill, baby drill?" Who has opened our beautiful national parks up to drilling, something which RFK, Jr., an avid falconer and conservationist, opposes?

He has been doing worse and worse in the polls, but it is unlikely that his followers, who probably were not crazy about either Trump or Harris, would vote for Trump--the anti-environmentalist, anti-conservation, anti-climate change former president.

But since the latest polls show Harris 8 points ahead nationally, it might not matter who his votes go to.

Early voting starts as early as September 16 (in swing-state Pennsylvania.) The latest swing state early vote date is Wisconsin on October 26.

Trump doesn't have much time to try to turn around the strong momentum generated by Harris and her authentic, compassionate, likeable teacher-coach Governor Walz. I watched quite a bit of the convention, and, through her bio, her friends' and families' stories, and her acceptance speech I learned she is a much, much stronger candidate (and individual) than I originally feared. I think that all but single-issue voters will see lots of character and accomplishment in that bio.

Uh huh...RFK is killing it...awesome speech and ALL true. The Harris/Walz ticket is not the Democratic party of his or his family. I can't wait until Harris gets incinerated in the debate. Walz authentic? Compassionate? Likeable? LOL yeah right, if you are a Marxist! Harris does not even have any policies listed. Well all they have is vote Harris/Walz...we hate Trump. LOL! Every word out of their mouths are lies.

RFK, Jr. doesn't speak for his family. Not a single one of the huge Kennedy clan supported him. And said so publicly.
His supporters will make their own decision.
He diminishes his family name with all the whining. No one was stopping him from entering the Democratic primary.
There has been speculation that RFK, Jr's support was purchased with a Cabinet seat. I wouldn't be surprised.

Many of the families are furious at anyone who doesn't vote for the Democrats. How dare RFK support a Republican.

RFK's family are not Marxists. Absolutely they put roadblocks at his every step. I mean, seriously? They would not even give him secret service protection! I hope Trump does give him a cabinet seat, he is a very smart guy!

When 500 prominent Republicans endorse Harris because their party has lost its traditions, beliefs, and ideals--including legislators and aides in the Trump White House who spoke at the Democratic convention--perhaps you've been fooled.
Former VP Pence and numerous military advisors and cabinet members can't be wrong.
