America - One Nation Under God since it's founding, right?

Exactly. So why has America divided it's loyalties since the beginning? A segment worshipping the true God through His Son Jesus on one hand, and the rest worshipping Liberty (the so-called 'Queen of Heaven' or goddess) on the other? Statue Of Liberty, much?

I'll be first in line to acknowledge that The Gospel has made great advances in this country, and through this country to the rest of the world. And all other benefits achieved through applying Biblical principals in all facets of government and society - at least initially. So God has and is accomplishing His purpose, up till now.

And yet, simultaneously, this country has also compromised it's devotion away from the true God as revealed in Holy Scripture, to elevate just one of His gifts to this nation ABOVE our gratitude to Him - and that is liberty itself (or freedom).

What has this idol worship wrought? What do we confer upon ourselves to have the freedom to do?

Freedom to conduct genocide against the Native Indian in the name of 'Manifest Destiny' - for land. There were "savages" on both sides.

Freedom to consider this nation's chief duty to the world to spread a republican government and the "American way of life" - partially through war, subversion, and destabilizing their economies. A bit self-righteous, considering "democracy" the only form of government blessed by God. Maybe the best, I'll warrant, but not the only. How can one nation who oppresses it's own citizens denounce another nation doing the same? Talk about a plank/speck situation.


Freedom (for a segment) to declare a black man merely the property of a white man - all the while preaching that "all men are created equal." A wound that one ethnic/cultural group is still recovering from. When one's very identity is wounded so deeply, it takes generations to fully recover.

Speaking of dehumanization, freedom to declare a child in the womb a "lump of tissue", justifying the mass murder of millions of God's precious innocents. Those in Biblical times who sacrificed their children to the god Baal, were no less demonically inspired than those who sacrifice their children to the god of sexual freedom without responsibilities. Ah, what an inconvenience to have this leech inside of me and compromise my good time in the future to support and raise it.

And other freedoms: for a man to dress in skimpy outfits as a woman and dance seductively in front of kindergartners. For a rainbow clad "inclusive" segment to glorify their perversion as normal. To pump millions of dollars into entertainers, sports stars, politicians, you-name-it, any kind of self-made human idol to distract us from our accountability to a moral God.

So again I ask, in reference to "One Nation Under God" and "In God We Trust"...

Psalms 2:1-3 NKJV

"Why do the nations rage, And the people plot a vain thing?
The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against the Lord and against His Anointed, saying,
"Let us break Their bonds in pieces And cast away Their cords from us."

Study the stories of nations past and realize that God will tolerate idols presented in His Name for just so long. If America will not repent, she will burn like all those nations before her.

May God bless us with His salvation in Jesus while time remains - individually and as nations!
