In any case, they contained valuable Jewish history, like the Hanukkah. I do not reject anything outright but put a weight on everything.

- Time: The last book in the Tanakh was written in 430 BC. The First Book of Maccabees was written in the late 130 BC, 3 centuries later.
- Language: The Tanakh was written in Hebrew, with a small portion in Aramaic. 1st Maccabees was written in Hebrew but 2nd, 3rd, and 4th were written in Greek.
